Day 1 of the $600 No-Limit Hold'em ($500,000 guaranteed) at the Wynn Millions series saw a total of 296 entrants register across two starting flights.
At the end of the day, no one bagged a bigger stack than Anthony Danna. In fact, no one was even close. Danna finished his session with 1,185,000 chips, and he'll bring a massive stack to Day 2. Phat Nuon ended with the second-largest stack at 849,000, while Alex Guo (661,000) and Mario Fauceglia (660,000) are next in line.
There were 36 players who bagged chips between Days 1a and 1b and will advance to Day 2.
The $400 Omaha/8, a $20,000 guaranteed event, attracted 86 entrants on Friday, creating a prize pool of $28,638, yet another tournament to surpass the guarantee at the Wynn Millions series.
When all was said and done, following a two-way chop, Peter Augustine, a Las Vegas local, came out victorious for $7,504. James Matz, also a local, was the runner-up and received $6,290. The top five finishers are all from the Las Vegas area, including Kathy Chang, who finished in third place for $3,709. Gary Bolden (fourth place for $2,721) and Jonathan Wirjo (fifth place for $2,040) rounded out the top five in this one-day event.
Baron jon Johnson is having quite a sick month of poker, and it continued on Friday on Day 2 of the Wynn Millions $600 No-Limit Hold'em, a tournament with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool that had 408 entrants.
The California poker player took it down for $41,843, beating Emmanuel McKenzie heads-up for the title. Johnson, who had just $13,000 in live tournament cashes entering the current month, picked up his second big score in February. He won a $1,100 MonsterStack tournament at Venetian for $45,089 less than two weeks ago.
Peter Jesko entered the session with a massive chip lead over every other player in the field — nearly 2:1 in chips better than his nearest competitor. But he'd eventually bow out in ninth place for $3,751, while Johnson spun up his above-average starting stack into his second victory of the month in Las Vegas.
Action in the Wynn Millions series at Wynn Las Vegas on Thursday produced two new winners and saw one player completely obliterate a Day 1 field.
There are two new events and Day 2 action scheduled for Friday. At noon, Day 2 of the $600 NLH ($200K guaranteed) kicks off, and the Day 1a session of the $600 NLH ($500,000 guaranteed) runs at the same time. Day 1b of the same tournament begins at 5 p.m. The $400 Limit Omaha/8 ($20,000 guaranteed) also starts at 1 p.m.

Longtime Pro Tristan Wade Gets it Done in $400 H.O.R.S.E.
Tristan Wade, a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, added a Wynn replice trophy to his jewelry case on Thursday when he outlasted a field of 73 entrants to ship the $400 H.O.R.S.E. tournament for $5,907.
There was a four-way chop in this event, with Bonita Rattner taking second place for $4,755, Michelle Jett getting third place for $3,815, and James Morgan being eliminated in fourth place for $3,815.

Dais Victorious in $200 NLH Turbo
The $200 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo event had a $10,000 guarantee. By the time registration closed on Thursday, there were 123 entries and $29,826 in the prize pool, nearly tripling the guarantee.
The biggest beneficiary of the large prize pool was Donnell Dais, a Las Vegas poker player, who took it down following a three-way chop for $6,294. Jonas Partouche received $5,424 for second place, while Vinicius Gomes De Souza earned $5,274 for third place.

The event, held inside the luxurious Wynn Las Vegas on the Strip, attracted a field of 123 entrants, smashing the $10,000 guarantee with $29,826 in the pot when registration closed. Four players made an ICM chop, with Dais, a Las Vegas local, getting the best of it for $6,294.
Jonas Rahamim Eliahou Partouche (second for $5,424) and Vinicius Gomes De Souza (third for $5,274) were also part of that chop.

The longtime pro with over $2.1 million in live tournament cashes, beat out a field of 73 entrants in the $20,000 guaranteed tournament. Wade, a Las Vegas poker player, beat Bonita Rattner heads-up for the title, claiming the largest share of the $24,309 prize pool.
Thursday's Day 1b session of the $600 No-Limit Hold'em, a tournament with $200,000 guaranteed, had a runaway chip leader, and that was Peter Jesko.
Joseph Kuzmitch bagged the biggest stack during the Day 1a session on Wednesday at 668,000. While his performance was strong, it pales in comparison to the heater Jesko went on during the final starting flight.
Jesko finished the day at Wynn Las Vegas with — get this — 1,187,000 chips. There won't be anyone even close in chips when Day 2 kicks off at noon on Friday. There were 272 entrants on Day 1b, bringing the event total to 408, creating a prize pool of $208,080. A total of 51 players advanced to Day 2.
The Wynn Millions series continued in full swing on Wednesday as two winners were crowned and the first starting flight of a the $200,000 guaranteed $600 NLH took place.
Today will see three more events, including the second flight of $600 NLH, a $400 HORSE event and a $200 NLH Turbo event that will close out the evening.

Two-Time Bracelet Winner David Jackson in the Counts
David Jackson
The first of two starting flights of the $200,000 guaranteed $600 NLH saw Joseph Kuzmitch bagging the chip lead over big stacks Baronjon Johnson, Albert Gorelik and Juan Riedinger.
The opening flight drew 136 runners and will see players return on Day 2 to blinds of 6000/3000/6000.
Other players who bagged include two-time bracelet winner David Jackson, as well as Nerijus Paskevicius, Rex Jensen and Troy Gabaldon.
TORSE is a format that's taking the poker world by storm, and the $400 TORSE, saw Hani Awad defeating fellow Las Vegas local Mike Zaloznyy to win the trophy and $9,189.
The final table of the event, which is the same as HORSE but with 2-7 Triple Draw instead of Hold'em, also included mixed game pro Jonathan Turner (3rd - $4,010), Daniel Habl (4th - $2,942) and Derek Bugg (5th - $2,207).

Gerald Riley Takes Down $200 NLH Turbo $10K GTD
Another $200 NLH Turbo event took place and saw Ohio's Gerald Riley taking down the $10,000 guaranteed event for $6,570, while New Yorker George Jannes finished runner-up for $4,096.
Also at the final table was Scotland's Neil McCormack (4th - $2,103) and Vegas locals Kenneth Pinsky (3rd - $2,867) and Hsin Yi Mazer (5th - $1,577).
