Mike Kosowski won against professional poker player Daniel Negreanu at FOX poker game show PokerStars.net Million Dollar Challenge. For this great achievement the retired NYPD officer took an astonishing check of $1 million.
Kosowski declared that playing against a pro was very difficult because he was aware that he knew the game inside and out.
Kosowski started to play online poker following his retirement after being injured during the 9/11 attacks.
He helped to evacuate survivors at the World Trade Center on September 11. But when the South Tower collapsed Kosowski suffered major burns and injuries to his neck and back.
